Last April 19 and 20, 2024, emotion and solidarity came together in a unique event: The III Paddle Tennis Charity Tournament organized by United Barcode Systems. This tournament, with the participation of 16 couples, was not only an opportunity to enjoy the passion for the sport, but also to contribute to a noble cause: the fight against cancer.
In collaboration with the Spanish Association Against Cancer (AECC), a non-profit organization dedicated to alleviating and preventing the suffering caused by this disease, UBS demonstrated its commitment and desire to make a difference in the community through its "Blue Minds" social responsibility program.
The AECC, made up of patients, family members, volunteers, collaborators and professionals, aims to provide comprehensive support to all people affected by cancer, regardless of their place of residence or personal circumstances. Through research, prevention, early detection, psychological assistance and support programs, the association works tirelessly to improve the quality of life of those fighting this disease.
The day was marked by a good atmosphere, companionship and the sporting spirit that characterizes these UBS actions. The participating couples enjoyed every match, demonstrating that, beyond the competition, the important thing is to join efforts for causes that have a positive impact on society.
At the end of the tournament, awards were presented to the outstanding teams, but the greatest reward was knowing that every game played and every effort made contributed to providing hope and support to those facing the challenge of cancer.
